CASE STUDIES

Our case studies below showcase a wide range of garden design styles from Contemporary Victorian Gardens to Family Gardens. Each case study contains a stripped-down plan, a planting plan, 3D videos taken during the day and in the evening, pictures, the client’s brief and an overview explaining the design. We hope you find it helpful...

A complex garden that utilises many different garden design principles, amalgamating different styles from rustic to modern to contemporary, while also providing functional spaces for dining, a play area and a space to relax.

Small gardens can be completely transformed by using triangulation, which divides the space to create a visual journey from left to right and then right to left again. This zig-zagging creates an illusion that the garden is bigger than it actually is.

A garden design inspired by authentic Victorian Gardens, utilising geometric and curved hedges as the central focal point. A Greek-style pathway bordered with colourful roses leads the eye to the bottom of the garden.

A curved lawn area provides lovely pockets of flowers, using an elegant colour palette of blues, whites and purples. Very rare tabletop trees planted around the breakfast area provide separation, privacy and shade.

A fusion between a structured formal garden and a soft rustic garden. The lawn, pathways and formal planting give way to a border of delicate planting with a variety of textures and an elegant colour palette of greens, blues, whites and purples.

A long garden is split into more moderately sized areas. A rendered wall painted white provides a low-level planted border and bamboos screen each lawn area, providing distinct sections and hiding furniture from view.

A garden design with a large lawn area to emphasise the size of the garden. Features designed on the right and left and at the back triangulate the garden, offering a visual pathway all the way to the corners.

A large, functional decking area acts as a viewing platform for the rest of the garden. The large pool is placed to the side of the garden to minimise its impact and allow for plenty of lawn area that provides lots of space for ball games.

A garden in the middle of the Surrey Hills. The front of the garden is very modern to echo the modernity of the house. The garden transitions smoothly to a softer, more sympathetically planted back garden that complements the surrounding countryside.

A Rustic Garden utilising lots of fantastic flowers, shrubs and small trees to create a colourful lush border. A circular pathway at the centre of the garden allows for ease of maintenance, so you can easily get to all areas of the borders.

A design that utilises many of the most beautiful formed plants, such as pleached trees and balls. Bamboos are incorporated to provide a contrast between the blocks of green. Agapanthus is planted in between the balls to provide lots of colour.

A garden design that consists of two seating areas in the corners of the garden, allowing for plenty of space in between for planting. A small hedge borders the central pathway to define that feature of the design.

A lifestyle garden with different zones for each of the required functions. This separation defines each area so that each feels like a separate space. Low-level planting makes each area feel as open as possible.

A modular, stylised garden that uses squares and straight lines to create a modern, crisp finish. Textural planting softens the sharp angles, creating a fusion between the modern and the traditional, using blues, whites and purples.
